Recipes: Colonial America (all ages)
Overview
Three recipes: Johnnycakes, squash cornbread, and cornbread. These easy recipes would adapt well for reading comprehension lessons, math (double the recipe!), science (how does boiling water affect the flour?), as well as the life skill of cooking. These recipes are part of our Colonial America unit.
